FLUKE SEASON OPENS MAY 4th 2024

This Saturday May 4th 2024 the Montauk Star will begin sailing for the 2024 fluke season

As we did last year for the month of May will be by reservation only on our daily trips from 6am-3pm

@ $130 per person

The Star is now available for private charter this upcoming 2024 summer Fluke season.
These trips can be customized to be on local grounds or long range targeting Fluke or species of choice.
With offshore wreck trips on the menu as well

This does not mean that the Star is charter only, we will still run open boat on the dates the boat is not chartered.
However this will effect open boat dates and you will need to call for availability.

Dates are beginning to fill up so please call for availability and pricing

This is a result of multiple requests to provide more customized services for our anglers.

Additionally as always the Star is available for corporate events and custom afternoon/sunset cruises

Captain Mark Ryckman began his fishing career plying the waters of Shinnecock Bay in his youth while eventually running his own local business in East Quogue, Long Island.

He quickly struck an acquaintance with a varied cross section of seasoned veterans who had success commercially and recreationally fishing both inshore and offshore of Shinnecock Inlet and Montauk.

Mating aboard these boats for locally respected Captains led him to pursue his own path, having gained a great local fishing education, especially in Montauk.

On his Regulator sportfishing boat, and later his fully rigged 42' Provincial Novi-built, Captain Mark logged many hours between Shinnecock and Montauk honing his skills inshore and offshore targeting fluke, seabass, blackfish, cod and striped bass.

Captain Mark is a USCG licensed Master, 100 gross tons and proud to be the newest owner in recent years of the F/V Montauk Star.
